POSITION:	Assistant Vice President - Credit
LOCATION:	Stockton, California
GRADE:	18
RESPONSIBILITY:	This position is generally responsible for taking and analyzing loan applications; assisting applicants in completing loan applications and budgets; servicing assigned commercial and/or real estate loans by frequent contact with customers; and actively pursuing new business through organized marketing and business development programs. Responsible for management of existing designated loan portfolio; renewal operating loans and term loans.
EXPERIENCE:	BA/BS degree with emphasis on agriculture, business administration, accounting or equivalent. At least eight years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural lending experience. Demonstrated understanding of agricultural lending principles and practices, and Association and Farm Credit System operating policies and procedures. Knowledge of agriculture and/or agribusiness. Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills. Proficient in using PC, including word processing and electronic spreadsheet software. Must have the ability to travel on unimproved properties and visually inspect facilities, machinery, livestock and crops on customer's farm to evaluate credit factors, complete farm visits and/or collateral valuations. Travel required in performance of job. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers and negotiate terms on behalf of the Association, verbally on the phone, in person and in writing. Must be proficient in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
