COW/CALF OPERATION WITH ALFALFA HAY AND OTHER DIVERSIFIED OPERATIONS

The Gansbergs have been with American AgCredit since 1944 with a business focused on cattle, horses and hay. The Gansberg’s son, Chris, runs the operations these days, having learned the ropes from his parents who spent a lifetime working with American AgCredit.

Chris’ first loan on his own came in 1970 and he has kept the business growing – and in the family – ever since. The Gansberg’s long term association with American AgCredit includes real estate financing, operation loans and lines of credit.

The Gansbergs have a long time Nevada cattle, horses and hay operation, headquartered in Markleeville, California, that lies along the California/Nevada border near Gardnerville, Nevada. The operation is a cow calf ranch summering on the Nevada side and winters at their California ranch near Clements/Ione, California. They also have summer pasture at their Bridgeport, California ranch and produce hay at the Smith Valley Ranch in Nevada.

Today, the sixth generation of Gansbergs is working on the ranch, run by Chris, his wife Faye and their son Todd, ensuring the family business that started 70 years ago keeps going strong for generations to come.
