Nominating Committee Candidates
My name is Nick Pipkin and I am from Clovis, New Mexico. I am a fifth-generation farmer in the eastern part of New Mexico. Currently, I own and manage numerous entities that revolve around feeder cattle and cow-calf operations. In addition, I am also heavily involved in farming different crops that focus on forage production for a local dairy and feedyards.
I am a 4th generation rancher and part of a family-owned ranch in Northeastern New Mexico consisting of a commercial cow/calf and yearling stocker operation. My role and responsibilities include ranch infrastructure maintenance, heavy equipment operator, cattle and financial records, primary point of contact dealing with government agencies and programs, purchasing of breeding livestock, and general ranch hand. I serve as the business manager, responsible for all bookkeeping and accounting, purchasing of equipment and supplies, and day-to-day operations.
I have managed day to day operations for our family cow calf operation for the past 15 years. I served multiple terms on the nominating committee for Farm Credit New Mexico and have served on the American AgCredit nominating committee for the past 3 years.
