Introducing the AgYouth Grant Program
The AgYouth Grant Program, formerly known as the AgYouth Loan Program, builds on the many years of our association’s commitment to the next generation in agriculture. The AgYouth Grant Program will enable AAC to continue to meet our mission by investing in students who demonstrate an interest in becoming involved in agriculture through their livestock project. Increasing agricultural education, leadership development, and hands-on learning are only a few of the many benefits students acquire from these projects.
By supporting these projects, we’re helping cultivate the skills, confidence, and passion needed to sustain agriculture for generations to come. We’re proud to partner with schools, organizations, and students who share our dedication to growing the future of agriculture and strengthening the communities we serve.
Criteria and considerations:
Applicants must be at least 13 years old at the time of application submission.
Applications will only be accepted by students who reside in American AgCredit’s lending territory (locations).
Submitting a completed application does not guarantee funding will be awarded.
Funds will be allocated at American AgCredit’s discretion to ensure we are able to provide support for as many students as possible in an equitable way across all of the regions we serve.
As a program focused on advancing financial literacy, applicants will be analyzed on their ability to thoughtfully complete a budget for their project rather than the strength of their project’s budget.
Students who have participated in our previous AgYouth Loan Program with current outstanding balances or who have failed to repay an AgYouth Loan in the past will not be eligible for consideration.
