Business Experience: Partner owner of Teixeira and Sons, general partnership, ownership in farmland, cotton gin, transplant greenhouses and cotton harvesting company. I have provided management for all enterprises mentioned in day to day decisions. Primarily focused in Administration and over all planning. Member owner of Teixeira and Sons, LLC, farming operation. Providing overall management of operation. Member owner of Agritree, LLC. partner in Almond development and land acquisition, providing management.

Current Boards: American AgCredit, San Luis Water District, Charleston Drainage District, San Luis Delta Mendota Water Authority Grassland Basin Drainage Steering Committee, Grassland Basin Authority.

Strategic & Visionary Thinking: I have served on the American AgCredit Strategic Risk Committee, providing input for decision making to the full board. I served as Chairman of the Board for American AgCredit when we were the first farm credit association to complete a merger of noncontiguous lending territory. Served as Chairman of the American AgCredit Audit Committee developing the first complete in house audit department for American AgCredit. To be strategic and visionary you must be willing to accomplish the impossible.

Corporate Governance: I manage all of Teixeira and Sons, LLC administrative staff including a controller, HR Specialist, IT and Special Project Coordinator. We employ approximately one hundred employees. I supervise all policies, processes and controls both in administration, field and shop operations of our business.

Financial Expertise: I supervise our controller on a day to day basis. Responsible for providing all financial statements and information to American AgCredit of which I prepare personally. And I am the current designated financial expert director for American AgCredit.

Communication: I pride myself on being a problem solver through complete and transparent communications. No one person is insignificant in any team or business. I value input from the entry to expert level of all employees, associates, fellow board members, staff, anyone I am communicating with. Listening is essential to be a great communicator.

Technology: On a daily basis I am using platforms from security cameras from multiple locations, moisture monitoring in crops, irrigation automation, security alarms systems in multiple locations, environmental building controls, commodity harvest reporting, GPS tracking for vehicles and equipment, laptops, desktops, iPhones, remote login access to our main frame, scanning, faxing, printing, copying.

Human Resource Management: I supervise our HR Specialist on a daily basis. Directly involved in everything from hiring to termination. Have worked with staff to develop processes and procedures to ensure personal privacy, complete open door communication, effective training, fair hiring practices, market compensation and support with all benefits offered all while meeting state, local and federal laws.

Risk Management: Risk management is simply building plans around risk for mitigation. I have worked with our staff to develop and put into place plans of action to mitigate risks. Also established a risk response process for testing risk plans.

Leadership: Chairman of California Cotton Growers, national representative for California Cotton Growers. Vice Chairman of Grassland Basin Authority. Vice Chairman and Chair of American AgCredit Board and Audit Committee. Chairman of CEO Selection Committee for American AgCredit. Board President of Saint Joseph School. I believe in working alongside others to make a positive difference while all the time accepting the challenge of leadership.
